KPMG Signs Stanford University Women's Golf Standout Mariah Stackhouse As A Global Brand Ambassador
Relationship Further Demonstrates KPMG's Commitment to Elevating Women's Golf and Developing Future Women Leaders
NEW YORK and SEATTLE, June 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP today announced it signed a global sponsorship agreement with aspiring professional women's golfer Mariah Stackhouse. Stackhouse, a 2016 Stanford University graduate and standout member of its 2015 NCAA National Champion Women's Golf Team, will be supported by KPMG on her quest to join and succeed on the LPGA Tour.
As part of the agreement with KPMG, Stackhouse will wear the KPMG logo on the front of her hat at all golf-related appearances. She joins LPGA star Stacy Lewis as a KPMG brand ambassador in women's golf, where KPMG also is the title sponsor for the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
"We are thrilled to welcome Mariah Stackhouse to the KPMG family," said Lynne Doughtie, KPMG U.S. Chairman and CEO. "We are confident that her determination, hard work and achievements at the collegiate level -- both in the classroom and on the golf course -- serve as a strong foundation for her future success as a professional."
"Our agreement further demonstrates KPMG's commitment to elevating women in golf and developing future women leaders within our firm and the broader marketplace," added Doughtie.
Today, Doughtie is joining Stackhouse at the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship taking place at Sahalee Country Club in the Seattle area to announce and launch this significant sponsorship.
Stackhouse added: "I'm so proud to join with KPMG as I begin my professional career because they are an organization that has invested in women's golf and helped elevate the game through the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and all it represents. I'm also excited to join Stacy Lewis, a player I greatly admire, as a KPMG brand ambassador in women's golf, and look forward to representing KPMG."
