KPMG Powered Enterprise For Oracle Cloud Applications Enhances Company HR And Finance Functions
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today launched two powerful services for Oracle Cloud Applications designed to help companies accelerate implementations and reduce the costs and risks associated with business transformation.
Announced at Oracle OpenWorld 2015, these new solutions – incorporated into KPMG Powered Enterprise – focus on strategy, business intelligence, and performance management for the human resources (HR) and finance functions.
"Cloud-enabled business technology can have a positive, long-lasting impact on an organization, but it can also be overwhelming," says John Houtary, KPMG's Global Oracle Network leader. "With KPMG Powered Enterprise, we've thought through the questions, considerations and opportunities of a cloud transformation so business leaders can instead focus on enhancing value and faster realization of benefits."
KPMG Powered Enterprise incorporates service delivery models, process and technology, supported by KPMG's Integration Services Framework, which simplifies and accelerates adoption of Oracle Cloud Applications toolset and reduces the time and expense of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-oriented integration and data conversion.
Underlying the KPMG Powered Enterprise platform is KPMG's operational view of securing the cloud ERP, with security and controls to help organizations balance growth and efficiency with the need to protect sensitive data and transactions.
The new business function solutions, "KPMG Powered HR" and "KPMG Powered Finance," utilize pre-defined operating models and optimized process flows to eliminate the complexity of aligning with Oracle Cloud Applications and streamline the implementation process by about half the time and at a fraction of the cost.
"Today's HR and finance leaders are transforming their business functions to be more flexible, agile and responsive," said Chris Leone, senior vice president, Oracle Applications Development. "KPMG Powered Enterprise with Oracle Cloud Applications can offer pre-built operating models, optimized process and the latest security and performance technologies to help drive innovation, increase agility, lower costs, and reduce IT complexity."
KPMG Powered Finance
According to a Gartner FEI CFO Technology Study, 84 percent of CFOs said half their company's transactions will be delivered through SaaS in the next four or more years.
"As some companies are discovering, updating legacy finance systems to the cloud can be a long and costly journey," says Don Mailliard, KPMG Powered Finance leader. "KPMG Powered Finance uses pre-built systems for 80 percent of the final configuration to ease the transition and enable organizations to make the most of their move to the cloud. The remaining 20 percent is custom to the organization's business and industry needs."
KPMG Powered Finance offers a combination of comprehensive advice and technical tools to help finance organizations diversify and scale operations, automate routine tasks, centralize processes, increase productivity, and maintain and use the latest software.
KPMG Powered HR
According to the 2015 KPMG HR Transformation Survey, formerly the Towers Watson HR Service Delivery and Technology Survey, 88 percent of HR leaders said they plan to spend the same or more than last year on HR technology, with 30 percent planning to replace their core HR systems in 2015 – an all-time high.
To address these needs, KPMG Powered HR employs organizational structuring, business process development, sourcing strategies, and emerging technologies to allow businesses to plan more efficiently, foster more effective decision-making and derive more valuable insights through big data and cloud technology.
"Changing demographics and economic challenges are forcing business leaders to rethink how to drive higher value from their HR functions at a lower cost," says Mark Spears, KPMG's global head of People and Change and leader of the Global HR Centre of Excellence. "This means developing HR strategies that directly link to delivering on key organizational objectives and connecting HR activities and business outcomes."
