KPMG LLP Announces Discovery Radar® Updates With Enhanced Concept Clustering, Filtering And Review
NEW YORK, Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm, has announced the release of Discovery Radar® version 4.2, which offers fully-integrated concept clustering, filtering, and review-set creation to help cut additional costs and simplify e-discovery and case management on large and complex litigation.
Discovery Radar offers corporate law departments and law firms a full discovery platform, combining advanced repository features including powerful document analysis and comprehensive review and production features. Version 4.2 provides new analytics capabilities to help enhance document review efficiency while increasing the visibility and management of document collections. Version 4.2 integrates concept technologies from Content Analyst Co., a leading provider of advanced analytics for unstructured data applications.
"This new enhancement can significantly cut the time required for legal teams to categorize and manage document review," said Chris H. Paskach, KPMG's U.S. leader for Forensic Technology Services. "Integrating these new leading-edge machine learning capabilities with our advanced statistical sampling functionality further reduces the potential for undetected human error."
"The rapid growth of big data, which in the legal community results in larger collections of data to process and analyze, requires new techniques and workflows that optimize the effectiveness of the people involved in the review," said Kurt Michel, president and CEO of Content Analyst Co. "The integration of Content Analyst's Conceptual Clustering into the Discovery Radar platform further extends the ability of KPMG's users to harness the power of advanced analytics to focus their efforts on the important items and drive increased efficiency."
From processing and importing documents, through analysis, review, export and production, Discovery Radar is delivered through a secure Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud environment to make document management and case strategy seamless for legal teams. Discovery Radar improves task management from the identification through production phases of the Electronic-Discovery Reference Model, an industry model created to help develop guidelines and standards for e-discovery consumers and providers.
Discovery Radar allows KPMG's clients to identify, collect, process and review data, and utilizes KPMG's proprietary Global Evidence Tracking System® and technology-assisted review capability that includes software-based relevance ranking and a comprehensive integrated statistical sampling functionality.
