KPMG Appoints U.S. Healthcare Management Executive And Physician Cynthia Ambres To Global Healthcare Center Of Excellence
NEW YORK, June 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Dr. Cynthia Ambres as the newest U.S. member of its Global Healthcare Center of Excellence (CoE).
At KPMG, Dr. Ambres will provide senior executive leadership in business model transformation, including payment reform and accountable care.

Dr. Ambres joins an internationally renowned team of colleagues in the Global Healthcare Center of Excellence including, Dr. Richard Bakalar, U.S.; Janet Davidson, Canada; Prof. Marc Berg, Amsterdam, Prof. Hilary Thomas, UK; Dr. Soren Eichhorst, Germany; Dr. Wai Chiong Loke, Singapore; Sue Williams, Australia; and Nigel Edwards, UK.
Before joining KPMG, Ambres served as a senior vice president and chief medical officer of HealthNow NY, parent company of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western NY and Blue Shield of Northeastern New York. Prior to that, Ambres was president at Lifetime Health Medical Group, executive vice president and chief medical officer at Kaleida Health, and senior manager in the Health Care Consulting Group at Ernst & Young. In 2002, she also founded Ambres Health Care Consulting, which served the provider, payer, and pharmaceutical health care communities.

Dr. Ambres holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Doctor of Medicine degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and a Master of Science degree in health policy and management from New York University.
