LAS VEGAS, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG International today unveiled plans for business management solutions for fast-growing small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), and a customizable healthcare data analytics platform which provide organizations with powerful digital capabilities to help gain efficiencies and enhance performance. The new solutions combine the intelligent and scalable cloud services, machine-learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies of Microsoft Azure cloud with KPMG's smart analytics tools, business management acumen and global reach.
Here at Microsoft Inspire in Las Vegas, KPMG was named Microsoft's 2018 Consulting and Systems Integration Cloud Innovation Partner of the Year for these and other business-driven solutions built on Microsoft Azure.*
The solutions are the latest offerings from the Microsoft-KPMG Digital Solution Hub, a jointly funded and staffed development lab which leverages Microsoft Azure intelligent cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI) technology with KPMG domain expertise, AI tools and global business experience to help companies transform all areas of their businesses.
Said Bill Thomas, Chairman, KPMG International: "AI and cloud feature prominently in the conversations I am having with CEOs around the world as they look to drive transformation and optimize their business models. We are pleased to be working so closely with Microsoft, a market leader, to help organizations achieve sustainable growth."
Wiise business management solution launching initially in Australia
KPMG Australia, Microsoft and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia have formed a strategic partnership to launch a new fintech solution: Wiise. An integrated cloud-based platform, Wiise will help SMEs digitally manage their businesses spanning accounting, payroll and banking, and operations including HR, inventory and manufacturing.
Wiise will launch initially in the Australian market this year with global roll-out plans under development in 2019.
"Our SME clients have told us that a solution that can deliver analytics-driven performance tools across a range of operational areas, and that can keep pace with their growth trajectory, will clearly deliver a competitive advantage. We believe this solution fits the bill," said John Munnelly, Executive Director of Wiise, and a partner with KPMG in Australia.
Said Alysa Taylor, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Business Applications and Industry: "As businesses mature they need business applications that make their business simpler to run and faster to grow, but without the complexity of deploying large, expensive ERP solutions. With Wiise, we've brought together CBA's strength in financial services, KPMG expertise in business consulting, and the technology platform of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to offer a business management solution that can scale and grow."
KPMG Azure healthcare analytics platform
KPMG Azure healthcare analytics is a scalable data management platform that provides enhanced performance and security features to meet patient data privacy regulations under the US HIPAA regulation including the Protected Healthcare Information (PHI) law. The customizable platform can address the data security needs of healthcare providers, payers, life sciences and medical services companies and is designed to support providers in such areas as value-based care, patient access and revenue cycle optimization.
"With our Azure-based healthcare analytics platform, organizations can experience the benefits of a cloud-driven solution featuring the security and controls required for compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations, and accelerate time to value from their investments in the cloud," said Bharat Rao, Ph.D., KPMG Data & Analytics Leader, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and a partner with KPMG in the US.
Said Jens Rassloff, KPMG Global Head of Alliances regarding the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards bestowed to KPMG: "Microsoft's recognition of our excellence in innovation and execution of solutions based on their Azure, AI, Dynamics and other technologies is due to the commitment of our Digital Solution Hub team. It's truly a fruitful collaboration and that is evidenced by the value our clients are realizing in implementing these solutions."
*Two KPMG member firms were also named finalists Microsoft's Partner of the Year award for Artificial Intelligence (KPMG in Japan) and Health Partner of the Year (KPMG in the US).
