DETROIT, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Kolene Corporation announced today that Atotech USA (Rock Hill, South Carolina) will assume worldwide sales and distribution responsibilities for the Company's Recover® product line. The new agreement applies to the Recover 5000 series of low-temperature chemical formulations developed by Kolene® for removing paint and other organic coatings from high-value parts and assemblies.
"We introduced Recover 5000 in North America in 2003 through our direct sales team operating from Detroit. Atotech, with its 40 service and technical centers around the world and its proven capabilities in metals finishing technologies, is the ideal partner for expanding into other world markets," Roger L. Shoemaker, President and CEO of Kolene said. "This new arrangement has no impact on the contract paint-removal service utilizing Recover products now operated at our Detroit facility," he explained. Mr. Shoemaker also noted that Kolene will continue to directly serve existing Recover customers in North America while providing custom-engineered process equipment for use with Recover chemical products sold by Atotech.
