Kobre & Kim Partner Tim Prudhoe Receives Founder's Award From Leading Trusts & Estates Association
LONDON, Dec. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tim Prudhoe, a partner at conflict-free international law firm Kobre & Kim, has been named as a recipient of one of the 2015 Founder's Awards from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Now in their seventh year, STEP's annual Founder's Awards recognize members who have made an exceptional long-term contribution to the Society. This year's awards were announced at STEP's Annual General Meeting in London on December 9.
Prudhoe, a partner and barrister based in the British Virgin Islands, focuses on commercial litigation with extensive experience in relation to international financial centres and in particular their interaction with onshore legal proceedings and regulatory bodies.
As part of the accolade, Prudhoe was recognized for devoting "significant time to training STEP members wherever he works," as well as his "unique combination of onshore and offshore trial experience." His work on "multi-jurisdictional disputes, particularly with regard to issues in alternative investing and wealth management" was also highlighted.
Among other activities, he is a member of the STEP Contentious Trusts Special Interest Group, and is on the editorial board of the STEP's Trust Quarterly Review. He has previously served as Chair of STEP Turks & Caicos, as well as serving on the Steering Committee of the STEP Caribbean Conference.
