Kmart® Introduces Halogen Reloadable Prepaid MasterCard®
New Prepaid Debit Card Available at Kmart and Kmart.com Launches with $0 Activation Fee
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kmart® today announced the introduction of its new Halogen Reloadable Prepaid MasterCard® offered by Green Dot. Kmart is now among the first retailers nationwide to launch a reloadable prepaid card product piloting no initial charge to load funds, and access to free ATM withdrawals at a nationwide network of more than 20,000 ATMs. Available at Kmart.com/Prepaid and Kmart stores nationwide, this new general purpose reloadable prepaid card allows users to get cash at ATMs, pay bills and shop in-store and online including at Kmart.com and everywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted worldwide.
With Kmart's Halogen Card, there is no bank account required, no credit check, and no minimum balance requirement. Customers load initial funds onto their Halogen Card for no fee at Kmart, and then come back to Kmart to reload again and again. Additionally, cardholders can also sign up to direct deposit their wages, tax refunds or government benefits payments at no charge.

Halogen cardholders can also get cash with no withdrawal fee from more than 20,000 MoneyPass network ATMs nationwide, and they can load additional funds into their account with cash at any Kmart store, or by purchasing a Green Dot MoneyPak® at approximately 60,000 Green Dot retailer locations across the U.S.
