Kleenex Brand Awards Three Schools 250,000 eBoxTops
Brand Continues Commitment to Support Healthy Schools and Kids for 2013-2014 School Year
DALLAS, Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Back-to-school is a time for new supplies, new schedules — and for three lucky schools, 250,000 eBoxTops. Kleenex brand is pleased to announce that High Ridge Elementary (High Ridge, Mo.), Iola Roberts Elementary (Pell City, Ala.) and McCormick's Creek Elementary (Spencer, Ind.) are the grand prize winners of the Kleenex Brand in the Classroom sweepstakes. Each school will each receive 250,000 eBoxTops, the equivalent of $25,000, to be used toward educational needs such as school equipment, books, supplies and more to start the 2013-2014 school year off right.
The sweepstakes, which launched last spring on TeacherLists.com, was created to help educate teachers, school administrators and parent volunteers about the benefits of adding Kleenex brand tissues — the only facial tissue with Sneeze Shield in all of its tissues to help keep stuff off hands — to school lists. Participants were asked to visit TeacherLists.com and enter the Kleenex Brand in the Classroom sweepstakes simply by adding Kleenex brand tissue to their back-to-school lists for a chance to win 250,000 eBoxTops for their school of choice. Three winners were selected at random from the more than 7,300 eligible entries.
"We saw an overwhelmingly positive response to the sweepstakes from parents, teachers and school administrators and we were thrilled to see the amount of submissions we received," said Martin Söderlund, Kleenex brand manager. "The enthusiasm demonstrates the importance of our commitment to healthy schools and kids and we are grateful for the opportunity to build on that partnership by recognizing the three winning schools."
In addition to the eBoxTops, each school will receive a product donation from the Kleenex brand to keep each school stocked with Kleenex facial tissue for the duration of the 2013-2014 school year. The eBoxTops and product donation will be delivered during a school assembly at each school.
"Kleenex brand's commitment to healthy schools and kids is evident through initiatives like the Kleenex Brand in the Classroom sweepstakes, and these initiatives have become increasingly more important as more and more schools struggle to make ends meet," said Berit Morse, Box Tops for Education manager. "The sweepstakes gave thousands of schools across the country the opportunity to benefit from the Box Tops for Education program, but schools can benefit from Box Tops every day, simply by clipping the coupons from the participating products that they already buy, such as Kleenex brand products."
Box Tops coupons can be found on popular Kleenex brand facial tissue, including 160-count and 210-count everyday tissue and Kleenex brand 112-count Anti-Viral Tissue.
