Kirdis Postelle Named Senior Vice President, Marketing, Capitol Music Group
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kirdis Postelle has been named Senior Vice President of Marketing for Capitol Music Group, it was announced today by the company's Executive Vice President, Greg Thompson, to whom Postelle will report. In her new position Postelle will head a newly formed marketing group within CMG that encompasses Marketing, Digital and Publicity, and will directly liaise with the company's Promotion and Sales teams in formulating comprehensive plans for CMG artists and releases. Postelle is based in Hollywood, California in the company's iconic Capitol Records Tower.

Postelle comes to Capitol after 17 years with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment where she was the company's General Manger, overseeing myriad divisions of the company, including Marketing, Promotion, Publicity, A&R Administration and Digital (working in concert with Interscope Records). She also negotiated the company's agreements with artists, producers and songwriters. While at Aftermath, Postelle worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and The Game. Prior to joining Aftermath, Postelle was a Product Manager and head of A&R Administration for Yab Yum Records, the Epic-distributed label owned by Babyface and Tracey Edmonds. She began her career in 1992 at LaFace Records, working in that company's Artist Development department.
