"We are always trying to improve the customer experience and lately we've been having a lot of fun with our menu," said Chris Whalen, president of KCS Management, a holding company and operator of Kings Restaurants. "Introducing the meatloaf cupcake is giving our customers a unique and delicious twist on a Kings classic entree. We're so excited to see the overwhelmingly positive response from customers. They simply can't believe it's coming from Kings!"
In addition to the meatloaf cupcake, guests will find an improved sandwich menu. All Kings' sandwiches will now feature fresh baked bread from hometown favorite Cellones. The popular turkey club will be made with delicious sunflower seed multi-grain bread while the Reuben will include a thicker marble rye.
Kings prides itself on providing a menu packed with a variety of homemade recipes. New menu additions include:
- Burger Pretzel Sliders – The traditional sandwich with a tasty twist! Fresh ground beef grilled to juicy perfection with sliced American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion, all riding between a delectable Bavarian pretzel roll.
- Turkey Rachel Pretzel Sliders – Fresh sliced turkey breast, Thousand Island dressing, crisp coleslaw, and Swiss cheese loaded on to a pretzel roll.
- Green Bean Casserole – A special blend of green beans and mushrooms topped with crunchy onions.
- Sweet Potato Casserole - The taste of the season! Sweet potatoes blended with cinnamon and sugar topped with marshmallows.

About Kings Restaurants
Since 1967, Hartley C. King, founder, has believed that people are his business. He employs more than 3,000 people who serve more than one million customers a month at Kings. The family restaurant chain opened in 1967 at the corner of Routes 48 and 30 in North Versailles. Dubbed "Kings Country Shoppes," this first location took on the name of Kings Family Restaurants – indicating that the place was indeed a restaurant and not a country store that served milk and butter. Today with over 32 locations, Hartley contributes his success to his people and the communities it serves. Giving back to the community and to local charities has been both a responsibility and an investment for the chain.
