Manchester, England, January 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenny Dalglish is 2/1 with Betfred to start the 2011-12 season as Liverpool manager after being given the role for the rest of the season today following Roy Hodgson's departure.
The Scot heads the betting to be appointed the club's next permanent boss, with Martin O'Neill a 3/1 chance and former Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard at 11/2.
Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde said: "If Dalglish can spark a big revival in Liverpool's fortunes he is likely to get the job full time, given that he wanted it last summer before Hodgson was appointed.
"But there is also plenty of time for the new American owners to assess other candidates and if O'Neill and Rijkaard are still available at the end of this season, they will surely be considered."
