King County Affirms That Environmental Measures by Quadrant Homes Prove Successful At Trilogy and Redmond Ridge
Monitoring of two Urban Planned Developments shows effectiveness of long-term environmental protections and stormwater management
BELLEVUE, Wash., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A new report from King County affirms that, after a 12-year monitoring program, environmental systems put in place by Quadrant Homes to protect water quality, fish and wildlife and other environmental features at Trilogy and Redmond Ridge have been successful.
"Quadrant created these two communities to become great places to live, work, and play and also to provide long-term environmental protections," said Bonnie Geers, Vice President of Community Development for Quadrant Homes. "We were confident in the measures we established for these communities, but it's especially gratifying to learn that scientists from the University of Washington and King County have concluded that the environmental systems Quadrant built into the community have met all the conditions of the master agreement."
Researchers from King County and the University of Washington conducted the monitoring study, with Quadrant Homes providing water and groundwater sampling and assessment, as well as submitting data to King County for evaluation. Throughout the study, Quadrant also ensured that all permit conditions and requirements were met to develop the communities.
Approximately 8,500 people live in Redmond Ridge and Trilogy.
