King Brings Latest Casual Gaming "Gem" To Mobile With The Launch Of The Delightful Digging Adventure 'Diamond Digger Saga'
LONDON and NEW YORK, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Can you dig it? King Digital Entertainment plc (NYSE: KING), a leading interactive entertainment company for the mobile world and creator of global sensations Candy Crush Saga and Farm Heroes Saga, will entice more casual gamers to "mine" for fun as it launches its delightful digging adventure Diamond Digger Saga. In Diamond Digger Saga, players will blast, dig and explore their way through dozens of dazzlingly vibrant underground worlds where they must complete a variety of stages in this level based puzzle game, unearthing an assortment of colourful jewels and other special treasures. A true gaming "gem," Diamond Digger Saga is now available to download for free across iOS and Google Android platforms.
With 130 levels available to play at launch, the Diamond Digger Saga adventure begins as the game's central character Diggy, a cute, playful creature who loves digging underground, finds a treasure map, sparking a subterranean journey in the search for gems. Throughout the game, players are tasked with mining their way deep within the glistening lands of Diamond Dale, Turquoise Meringue and other fantastical locations while uncovering special treasures and clearing away groups of 3 or more jewels to reach the target score. Players are tasked with clearing a path to allow for the water to flow freely to its destination, sending them through portals to interconnected rooms, each with its own wondrous task for discovering new gems and advancing to the next level.
Along this fascinating pursuit, players and Diggy will make friends with an array of colourful critters who can help them excavate the hidden treasures including the irresistible Moustache Pistache, Orange Owl, Jolly Joyphant and Jiggly Jiraffe.
Free to download, Diamond Digger Saga will keep the gameplay fresh with a variety of different missions that require creative and strategic thinking. Game modes such as 'Rescue the Fireflies' require gamers to clear a path to allow the water to reach each firefly to wake them up and get them to safety, while the 'Collect the Toys' mode challenges players to find the toys located under special turquoise tiles and clear away the gems on the top of these tiles to reach them.
But unearthing the gems will come with a myriad of challenges. Players will be faced with blockers - including Multiclear, Frozen Block, Pass Through and Indestructible - that bring an additional layer of fun-filled excitement to their puzzle solving. However, players should keep an eye out for special treasure boosters including the Colour Burst, Magic Orb, Line Blast, Dynamite and Extra Moves that are available to offer a helping hand during the most perplexing game obstacles.
"Having already launched Diamond Digger Saga on Facebook, we're so excited to bring this charming, yet challenging digger adventure to mobile devices," says Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King. "We think players will love all aspects of this game, from the fun gameplay modes to the delightful characters, to the bright and colourful graphics. We can't wait for fans of our games to start their mobile digging!"
