TORONTO, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KineticD™, known for its cloud backup and data recovery services for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced two appointments to extend its leadership into the mid-size business market. Jim Leitch joins the team as vice president of customer support and Mark Pletsch as director of product management. These appointments, effective immediately, round out the company's team as it continues to build market momentum through new customers, strategic partnerships and an expanded portfolio of new and enhanced solutions.
"As our products become more powerful and sophisticated, providing the right level of technical support is crucial," said Jamie Brenzel, CEO, KineticD. "We have created a team with powerful, proven track records. This tested leadership will be critical as we move aggressively to build on our lead in the mid-sized business market."
Jim Leitch brings over 20 years' experience in customer support in a technology environment. He began his career at Bell Canada in a technical role and then moved into management roles in technology and marketing. He then joined Research In Motion as the global director of Blackberry customer support and helped build its Support Centre into a global organization. After seven years at RIM he joined Eloqua and built its support organization into a global entity. Jim then took on a number of consulting roles at CAPREIT and Toronto Hydro before joining KineticD as the vice president of customer care where he is responsible for all dimensions of the customer experience. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Toronto and a Master's Degree in Literature and Philosophy from York University.
Mark Pletsch brings over 15 years of product management and marketing experience in the high tech environment.
