According to Google, the Google Play Top Developer program is an in-store badging system that "recognizes established, respected developers for their commitment to launching high-quality and innovative apps" and that "signifies an additional level of trust and confidence users have in a developer's products."
The Google Play editorial team spontaneously honors some of the best developers by looking at a wide variety of components such as app quality, app ranking, user satisfaction and utilization of Android material design principles.

Kika Tech's core products Kika Keyboard and Emoji Keyboard Pro became the first Android keyboards to incorporate Unicode 8 Emojis.
