Kik Launches Peer-to-Peer Transactions Powered by Kin

WATERLOO, Ontario, Dec. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kik Interactive Inc., creator of the popular chat platform Kik, today announced admin tipping, a new feature that allows users to send the cryptocurrency Kin to other users in the app. Through this peer-to-peer experience, users participating in public group chats can reward group administrators for facilitating positive and meaningful user interactions inside the app, thereby keeping groups productive, engaging, and safe. Building off its first crypto-enabled feature, chat themes, Kik continues establishing Kin as a key element of its emerging social economy.

Kik continues to help drive the mainstream adoption of Kin. Nearly half of Kin's 10,000 peak daily active spend transactions are attributed back to Kik users. Through the addition of admin tipping, both Kik and Kin anticipate this number will increase as the integration scales.
