Kihon Games Reinvents Classic Drawing Telephone Game With Launch Of "SketchPhrase" For iPhone, iPad, iPod
Hilarious Drawing Telephone Game Matches Words And Wits With Friends; Now Available On iTunes Store
TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kihon Games (www.kihongames.com) has released "SketchPhrase" (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sketchphrase-free/id537789715), their latest title on the Apple Store. "SketchPhrase" re-imagines the classic game of telephone in this instantly addictive drawing game played with friends. Free and paid versions are available now on iTunes.
"Kihon was created to develop entertaining, highly polished iOS games. We are extremely passionate about perfecting our craft, and being able to play with your friends is the best possible experience in gaming. Developing an engaging, socially connected game like 'SketchPhrase' represents the next step in our evolution as a studio. We cannot wait to see what people draw, write and share," said Mark Grossnickle, CEO, Kihon Games.
Modeled after the classic game of telephone, players interpret the drawings or words of their friends with funny and often unexpected results. The final drawing and phrase compilation is revealed as a comic strip for all to enjoy and share. Players can save this end result in their gallery or share with friends on Facebook and Twitter.
Users not only can be an artist and a wordsmith, they also get to be the ultimate curator by "up-voting" and rewarding stars to their favorite drawings and phrases. Games with the most votes and stars will trend to the top of the Gallery. Players also gain levels as an artist and a writer based on the number of votes and stars their individual pieces receive.
For every completed drawing or phrase, players earn coins to redeem for additional colors, stars, gallery storage space, paintbrushes and watercolor brushes. Watercolor brushes allow players to mix colors to create a higher quality drawing.
Kihon is finalizing their next major title, "Dojo Danger," which they spent more than one year developing. The physics-based strategy game will be released on iTunes in the coming weeks. Kihon's first game, "Baby Monkey (Going Backwards on a Pig)," recently surpassed 1 million downloads.
