Kiehl's Partners With John Legend To Introduce Its #1 Face Mask, Rare Earth--Made Better
NEW YORK, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2018, Kiehl's Since 1851 introduced Kiehl's Made Better™, a new brand platform which connects Kiehl's ongoing efforts in sustainability—through formulation, packaging, manufacturing and recycling, and community commitments, to the aspirations of Kiehl's customers in an authentic and differentiated way.
This year, together with Kiehl's Made Better™ partner John Legend, Kiehl's is proud to introduce its #1 mask, Rare Earth—made better. The new Kiehl's Made Better x John Legend Limited Edition Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask features the customer-favorite formula in a 50 ml jar that has been redesigned by John Legend with his signature.
In light of Kiehl's Made Better™, the limited edition features:
- fairly traded Amazonian White Clay
- a top label made from a blend of repurposed coffee bean bag fiber and post-consumer waste
- a jar made of 30% post-consumer recycled plastic
- philanthropy, with proceeds from the product benefitting environmental charities across the globe
In the US, 100% of net profits, up to $25,000, of this product will benefit the Earth Day Network (EDN). The donation will support Earth Day Network's Earth Day 2019 Clean Up taking place in cities across the U.S. for Earth Day 2019. The event will expand globally in 2020 for The Great Global Clean Up.
Along with supporting Earth Day Network with this limited edition product, Kiehl's is encouraging its customers to participate in their nearest Earth Day 2019 Clean Up:
• Boulder |
• Phoenix |
The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN), the world's largest recruiter to the environmental movement, works year-round with tens of thousands of partners in 192 countries on global reforestation, climate and environmental literacy, ending plastic pollution and protecting biodiversity. EDN's goal is to build environmental democracy and to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement worldwide. Earthday.org
