Kids@Play Summit Keynoters to Discuss the Future of Play at 2012 International CES
NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- From toddler tablets to teenage social networks, today's connected kids view technology as a natural part of life. At this year's Kids@Play Summit, taking place at 2012 International CES, attendees will learn how high tech toys, websites and gadgets are changing kids' lives.
Keynoting the Kids@Play Summit are three incredible thinkers: Asi Burak, co-president of Games for Change; Dale Dougherty, founding editor/publisher of MAKE magazine, Maker Faire and a recently honored Whitehouse "Champion of Change"; and David Pogue, columnist at The New York Times.
Games for Change facilitates the creation and distribution of social impact games that serve as tools in humanitarian and educational efforts. His keynote, at 9:00am on Thursday, January 12, will discuss this theme and share his vision for the intersection of games and humanitarianism. At 9:20am, Dale Dougherty will take his experience with MAKE and Maker Faire and discuss the new kids' culture of using soldering irons and building kits to make their own fun. And at 1:30pm, New York Times Columnist David Pogue will share the lighter side of family tech.
