Hosts Open House Event
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs offices in West Seneca and Lockport have merged into one office. Serving the counties of Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Allegany, Orleans, Genesee and Monroe, the office has ten staff members, including the National Director of Government Affairs, and currently serves 29 clients and 42 foster families.
The Williamsville Therapeutic Foster Care Program serves males and females from infancy through 21. Treatment services address a wide variety of social and emotional difficulties, developmental delays, learning problems, psychological disturbances, and behavioral challenges. The program has also worked successfully with pregnant teens and teenage mothers. Weekly scheduled in-person casework management offered by KidsPeace ensures success in all areas of a child's life. Services are offered 24/7 and increase the resiliency of both the child's placement and foster parents' ability to provide effective interventions while the child lives in their home. KidsPeace has worked to develop a Model of Care rooted in research which contributes to children overcoming childhood adversity and high levels of risk helping them to move forward so they may lead successful lives in adulthood.
An open house will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the new office location, 2801 Wehrle Drive, Suites 13 & 14 in Williamsville. The open house is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a special presentation and photo opportunity starting at 4:00 p.m.
