"We are thrilled to once again host the sixth annual Summer Olympics," said Missie Brown, owner of Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Keller. "This inspiring event is not only about teaching children the value of teamwork and working together towards a common goal, but also the importance of giving back and its impact on the local community."
Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academies in Dallas began its fundraising efforts for this year's Summers Olympics in May and has raised more than $12,000 for TSRH. Since its inception, the annual event has donated more than $70,000 to various charitable organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"We were honored to visit the Kids 'R' Kids students at the centers to discuss with them how their fundraising efforts directly impact the lives of our patients," said Stephanie Brigger, vice president of development for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. "The children were able to learn about how they can help others and experience the joy of giving back. The hospital relies on the generosity of the community, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this year's efforts."
