Kids II Named A Best Place to Work by Atlanta Business Chronicle
Award Follows Recent Recognition as an Inc. Fastest Growing Company
ATLANTA, Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Driven by innovation, design and a focus on corporate culture, Kids II—a global-leading creator of infant and toddler products—has been named a best place to work by the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Best Places to Work Awards. In the September 14 ceremony, Kids II was awarded this esteemed recognition as a result of employee feedback and survey results conducted by an independent third party research firm. Kids II was one of only 100 finalists out of nearly 650 Atlanta-based companies that were nominated.
Creating and reinforcing an environment that enables employees to personally and professionally excel is a key factor in being a best place to work, according to Kids II CEO/President Ryan Gunnigle. "The secret to our continued success and growth is our unique culture with the brightest and hardest working employees in the industry. To ensure we continue attracting and retaining this type of talent, we work hard to create an entrepreneurial environment that fuels creativity and innovation, empowering employees to collaborate together and turn their ideas into reality—all while having fun."
This Best Places to Work accolade follows the company's recent recognition as an Inc. Magazine 5000 Fastest Growing Private Company. Kids II once again joined the ranks of top global corporations for the third consecutive year being on the list.
A fast-expanding company, Kids II has experienced a 20% annual growth for the last five years and anticipates this continued growth in sales as well as employees. Currently, the company is seeking to hire 40 employees worldwide by the end of the year with plans to hire nearly 50 more in 2013. This rapid growth is instrumental in the company's continuous infant and toddler product pipeline.
Kids II has a diverse breadth of products under seven powerhouse brands: Bright Starts™, InGenuity™, Comfort & Harmony™, Disney™, Baby Einstein™, Rhino Toys™ and Taggies™. More than 450 employees in 13 global offices are responsible for the designing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing of these products to families around the globe in more than 70 countries. Its Atlanta-based employees were surveyed after the company was nominated as a Best Place to Work.
Nominations for metro area companies were accepted in June through the Chronicle's website, and from July to mid‐August employees of the nominated organizations completed online surveys regarding work environment, co‐workers and managers. The Atlanta Business Chronicle, in partnership with independent research firm Quantum Workplace, gathered the data to determine Atlanta's top 100 Best Places to Work. The results were based solely on the voices of employees and on the data collected by Quantum Workplace. Kids II joined the ranks of top medium-sized Atlanta-based companies.
