ABINGDON, Md., Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltimore-based Kiddie Academy^®, a nationally recognized provider of educational child care, announced the opening of its 200th location—in Vancouver, Washington—this month. Founded in 1981 with a single location in Baltimore County, the rapidly expanding family-owned business grew more than 22 percent in 2017—launching 36 new Academies and adding 20 new company hires.

Kiddie Academy has grown to serve nearly 23,000 children in 27 states, including the District of Columbia. Its proprietary educational curriculum, Life Essentials^®, was designed to help prepare children for success in both school and life.

The opening of the 200th Academy marks 25 years of successful growth for Kiddie Academy. Michael J.
