Kevin Kruse Named Executive Director of the Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers
ROANOKE, Va., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers (SPBT) today announced that Kevin Kruse has been named the new executive director, effective October 1. He brings to his new role significant life science training experience and strong entrepreneurial expertise.
Mr. Kruse will be responsible for leading the operations and educational services of SPBT, a non-profit organization that represents more than 1,000 members in the training profession from pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and diagnostic companies. For the last 20 years, Mr. Kruse has dedicated his career to determining the most effective ways to design and deliver health-related education and training.
"Kevin is an experienced and passionate advocate for the training industry and he understands the impact that our organization has on the profession as well as the individual careers of our members," said SPBT Board President Mike Capaldi. "Kevin has an impressive portfolio of training expertise and we are pleased to have his leadership at SPBT."
Mr. Kruse is the founder of several life science training and communication companies including ACI, Kenexa and AXIOM. Most recently, he served as founder and president of KRU Research, a media-consultancy serving life science marketers and healthcare educators. His organizations have been recognized with numerous awards including Inc 500 and Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania. Mr. Kruse has also been named one of the "Top 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Science Industry" by PharmaVoice. He has written or contributed to numerous books including: Technology-based Training: The Art and Science of Design, Development, and Delivery; What Smart Trainers Know; Active Training; and We: Driving Full Engagement for Performance and Profits.
Mr. Kruse succeeds Brian Fagan, who has announced his retirement after serving as executive director for 13 years.
