Kevin J. Rogers Elected Chairman of the Illinois Bankers Association
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) announced that Kevin J. Rogers has been elected chairman of the IBA for 2014-2015. Rogers is president of Philo Exchange Bank in Philo, Ill. He was elected at the IBA's 123rd Annual Conference and Trade Show on June 17 at the Swissotel in Chicago.
Rogers has been in the financial services industry since 1984. In May of 1988, his career took him to the State Bank of Allerton, an institution that acquired the Philo Exchange Bank in 2001. The banks merged in 2004 to form Philo Exchange Bank, and Rogers became president of the bank at that time. He attributes his long career in banking to the training, collaboration and networking provided by the Illinois Bankers Association.
Rogers has served on various committees of the IBA, including as chairman of both the Government Relations Committee and the Agricultural Advisory Committee.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, he also graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder Graduate School of Banking, as well as from several other management and banking schools and programs.
Rogers is a past president of the Villa Grove Community School District Board, and he served on the State of Illinois Treasurer's Agricultural Advisory Committee.
"The IBA is pleased and honored to have Kevin lead our Executive Committee," said IBA president and CEO Linda Koch. "He is a great asset to the Association."
The Illinois Bankers Association is a full-service trade association dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve.
