Ketchum Strengthens Corporate Reputation Team With Appointment of Public Affairs Specialist Chris Martin
LONDON, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading global communications consultancy Ketchum today announced the appointment of Chris Martin as director of public affairs in London. Reporting into Jamie Robertson, managing director of Ketchum London's corporate reputation team, Martin will take a lead role in providing strategic counsel to clients and driving growth in government relations and strategic public affairs.
Martin joins Ketchum from Hume Brophy, where he served as director of public affairs. He also has held senior positions at a number of leading public affairs consultancies across the U.K. and Europe, as well as at the American retail giant Walmart. With more than 12 years of experience working with organisations ranging from multinational and FTSE 100 companies to start-up businesses and nonprofits, Martin brings to Ketchum a wealth of knowledge and international expertise in leading integrated corporate affairs campaigns, with a particular focus on the intersection of the public and private sectors.
"At a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty, providing our clients with the right political insights and relationships will have a meaningful impact on their ability to navigate the unfolding regulatory landscape and realise their broader corporate ambitions," said Robertson. "Chris' experience of working with stakeholders across the political spectrum will further enhance our ability to deliver critical, insight-led advice and counsel. Coming off the back of a strong first half of 2018, this also underlines our ambition to offer our clients an ever-expanding range of integrated strategic communications solutions that drive reputational and organisational value over the long term."
Martin commented, "I'm delighted to be joining Ketchum and being part of the growing corporate reputation team in London. The consultancy advises some of the biggest corporate clients in the world and I'm looking forward to bringing my experience to bear in further strengthening the deep insights and expert advice that we deliver to our clients. With the team's growth this year and the consultancy's evolving client offer globally, I couldn't be joining Ketchum at a more exciting time."
Martin is the latest addition to Ketchum London's senior corporate reputation team following the appointment of Richard Griffiths as director of strategic communications earlier this year.
