Ketchum Promotes Mindy Rubinstein to Chief Communications Officer
NEW YORK, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ketchum, one of the world's leading public relations agencies, promoted Mindy Rubinstein, partner and director of corporate communications, to chief communications officer for the agency worldwide. She will be responsible for Ketchum's global branding, marketing, advertising and communications, including the agency's media relations and internal communications. Rubinstein is the firm's first chief communications officer, reflecting Ketchum's extensive growth and global expansion in recent years and the corresponding need to build and manage the firm's brand and reputation worldwide.
Within months of joining Ketchum in 2001, Rubinstein led a team that launched the "Passion and Precision" brand platform, which has defined Ketchum for more than 10 years. She recently oversaw the introduction of Ketchum's latest brand platform, "break through."
Rubinstein developed and continues to lead Ketchum's corporate branding and reputation management program, directing its internal and stakeholder communications around the world. She and her team have handled agency communications for a wide range of mergers and acquisitions and helped Ketchum earn numerous agency-of-the-year and best-place-to-work accolades. Her work reflects her philosophy that consistent, integrated communications with internal and external publics is a critical success factor in reputation management. Rubinstein has also played a leadership role in new business efforts, building a highly interactive community for sharing of best practices.
"Mindy has played an essential role in building and strengthening Ketchum's industry reputation as a global agency committed to achieving cutting-edge results for our clients, as well as being a great place to work," said Raymond L. Kotcher, senior partner and CEO of Ketchum. "Her inspired thinking and flawless execution have helped to communicate Ketchum's successes and global expansion in the last decade, and we look forward to Mindy building on that work."
Rubinstein said, "My time at Ketchum has been personally and professionally fulfilling, and I'm proud to collaborate with my colleagues to help tell the agency's story around the world. I look forward to the fresh opportunities and challenges this new position will bring."
Prior to joining Ketchum, Rubinstein worked at Pfizer/Warner-Lambert in a variety of positions, including manager of corporate communications. In this role, she was responsible for developing and overseeing the corporate branding and reputation management program for the company. She also was a key member of the communications team during the Pfizer/Warner-Lambert acquisition. In addition, she worked in marketing communications at Warner-Lambert, managing product public relations activities for the company in support of prescription drugs such as Lipitor and venerable consumer brands such as Listerine and Sudafed. As a member of the Parke-Davis sales force, she posted record gains in her territory and introduced new high-impact selling techniques, reflecting her communication skills. She began her career at Manning, Selvage & Lee.
She is a member of various organizations including the Conference Board's Council on Corporate Branding, the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators. Rubinstein also is a past vice president of marketing for the Morris County United Way, executive committee and board of directors, and she has been a member of teams that have won several accolades, including Big Apple, Silver Anvil, CIPRA, Panther and Prism awards. Rubinstein holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Rutgers College and completed graduate study at Rutgers as well.
