Kerri Doll Joins the Illinois Bankers Association As Vice President and Senior Counsel
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kerri A. Doll has joined the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) as Vice President and Senior Counsel. In her new role, Doll will provide legal guidance to IBA members and staff on federal and state banking laws and regulations, and she will be responsible for managing the IBA's extensive Compliance Division. She will be based in the IBA's Springfield office.
Most recently, Doll served as the Chief Banking Counsel for the Division of Banking at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, where she had been employed since 1998. Her responsibilities at the Division included providing legal advice to state-chartered financial institutions and other regulated entities, representing the Division in administrative proceedings, and drafting state legislative and regulatory proposals. She also has served as Acting Manager of the Division's Corporate Activities Section, as the Division's Policy and Procedure Administrator, and as Legal Counsel for the Division's Bureau of Banks and Trust Companies. Prior to joining the Division, Doll worked for four years in the Illinois General Assembly's Legislative Reference Bureau and one year at the State's Attorney Appellate Prosecutor office in Springfield.
Doll received her law degree from the University of Colorado, where she served on the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy law review, and her bachelor's degree from Marquette University, where she graduated with honors and received the National Achievement Academy Award in Political Science. She also completed an intensive study and internship program in the field of international relations through American University in Washington, D.C.
