SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenna Security, a leader in predictive cyber risk, announced today that Michael Roytman, chief data scientist at Kenna Security, will speak at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference, held March 5-9, in Las Vegas.
Session Details:
Intelligent Threat Intelligence
March 7, 3:30 p.m. – 3:50 p.m. (PST)
Veronese Booth 8500, Venetian Convention Center, Las Vegas
HIMSS'18
In this session, Michael Roytman will discuss how to turn the large volumes of often noisy threat and exploit intelligence data into actionable insights. The traditional approach to assessing threat and exploit intelligence measures the size or breadth of a data source itself. While useful, Roytman will demonstrate that curating data sources contextually to the problems that need to be addressed - vulnerability management, risk reduction, and remediation - is far more powerful than the data alone. This new approach allows practitioners to use threat and exploit intelligence to assess the effectiveness of attacks and attack vectors themselves, and therefore turn traditionally siloed work into risk-driven action items for the entire enterprise.
Michael Roytman is the Chief Data Scientist at Kenna Security, and has been selected to speak at some of the top security conferences in the world, including RSA, SOURCE, Bsides, Metricon and SIRAcon. His work focuses on cybersecurity data science and Bayesian algorithms. He is also a technical advisor in the humanitarian space, having worked with Doctors Without Borders, The World Health Organization, and the UN. He is the cofounder and board chair of Dharma.ai, for which he landed on the 2017 Forbes 30 under 30 list. He holds an M.S. in Operations Research from Georgia Tech, and his home in Chicago houses an industrial-scale coffee roasting operation.
