AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tomorrow, Austin-based fashion and lifestyle brand Kendra Scott will celebrate the memory of Kendra's lifelong friend Holley Rothell Kitchen, whom she lost to metastatic breast cancer in 2016. In her honor, Kendra Scott will dedicate the day to continuing Holley's mission, raising awareness and support for those with metastatic breast cancer.
In honor of Holley, Kendra Scott will donate 20% of the proceeds of all purchases made in-store, for one day, with the goal of donating $100,000 to Inheritance of Hope (IoH). IoH is an organization that supports families during a parents' terminal illness and one that was personally dear to Holley. In the last years of her life, Holley and her family participated in an IoH Legacy Retreat to Orlando, which gave her children priceless memories with their mother that they will keep forever.
"Holley was an inspiration to thousands, including me. Ever since we lost her in 2016, I have worked to continue her legacy by raising awareness, support and funding for those with metastatic breast cancer," says CEO, Designer and Philanthropist Kendra Scott. "Inheritance of Hope is a cause we are honored to support for the second year in a row. I have seen firsthand the incredible impact they have on young families, and it means the world to work with an organization that meant so much to my friend Holley."
Founded in 2002 on the pillars of Fashion, Family and Philanthropy, Kendra Scott is committed to giving back. Since 2010, the company has donated well over $25 million to local, national and international causes. CEO and Designer Kendra Scott is a passionate activist, committed to funding research and finding a cure to eradicate metastatic breast cancer, which currently has no cure.
