KEMP Technologies Named 'Value Leader' in Enterprise Management Associates' Application Delivery Controllers Radar Report
LoadMaster server load balancers received top accolades for ease of deployment and affordable pricing
YAPHANK, N.Y., Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- KEMP Technologies announced today that Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm, placed KEMP in the Value Leader category in its EMA Radar Report titled, EMA Radar for Application Delivery Controllers and Load Balancers: Q4 2011. The report assessed the key strengths and weaknesses of 12 leading application delivery controller (ADC) and load balancer vendors. KEMP was only one of two vendors that scored in the highest category as a "Value Leader" based on its value/price and ease of deployment. The complete findings were summarized in a detailed market map and Radar Chart from EMA.
The evaluation and final results was based on in-depth interviews with the vendor, partners and customers of KEMP's LoadMaster (LM) and Virtual LoadMaster (VLM) server load balancers. EMA judged the family of LoadMasters on five key areas: deployment and administration, architecture and integration, functionality, cost advantage, and vendor strength, which encompasses market and industry presence, vision, and financial stability of the vendor. EMA stressed KEMP's ability to "provide a solid set of features that meet the needs of its target solution demographic as a key differentiator."
The full line of KEMP's LoadMaster and VLM load balancer solutions protects websites and applications from being inaccessible by delivering high availability and reliability to business customers. KEMP's ADCs offer targeted functionality and high performance without the added expense associated with competitive products. Smaller-sized businesses no longer have to pay for capabilities they do not need, but are often present in higher-priced load balancers. With KEMP's fully-featured products, the price barrier is reduced while maintaining the high-end capabilities customers require.
"In our survey we looked at product feature sets as well as held in-depth conversations with customers," noted Tracy Corbo, analyst at EMA and co-author of the Radar report. "These conversations confirmed that KEMP customers valued the ease of deployment coupled with a feature set to value ratio that fit their deployment needs. The price point is ideal for small and medium-size businesses as well as larger organizations at the departmental or division level with their own discretionary IT budget to purchase a device. What is most notable is KEMP's ability to pack as many features as they have into their LM family of products, given the price points at which they sell."
"We are very pleased with this recognition from EMA that validates the LoadMaster's value proposition," said Peter Melerud, vice president of product management at KEMP. "Our LoadMaster hardware and virtual appliances have a price point affordable to a broad range of business customers alongside the ability to intelligently and efficiently distribute user traffic among servers to ensure the best possible user experience and high availability for web and business applications."
