Ray Downes named EMEA general manager to lead office and sales efforts

The opening of the new office is supported by the Irish Government with the aid of Industrial Development Agency (IDA) Ireland. To manage the office and lead European sales efforts, KEMP has appointed Ray Downes as general manager for EMEA.
As KEMP's general manager for EMEA, Ray will leverage his extensive channel development and IT sector experience from the past 20 years, where he has held several senior positions with networking companies. His experience includes international customer services manager for Cabletron Systems, EMEA; channel manager for Enterasys Networks and most recently, managing partner and co-founder at Arrosys a European outsourcing IT sales agency with offices across six countries. Ray is a graduate of Industrial Engineering at Limerick Institute of Technology and in Quality Management at the University of Limerick.
The Limerick operation will focus on KEMP's expansion in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Currently, the company has over 3,000 customers worldwide with Europe accounting for one third of its market.
