KEMET Expands Tantalum Polymer Portfolio
New T528 Series B Case Size Offers Lowest ESR in the Industry
GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM), a leading global supplier of electronic components, today announced the expansion of its T528 Low ESL/Facedown Terminal Polymer Tantalum Series. A newly constructed B case size design offers ESR values of 6 and 9 mOhms, making it the lowest ESR product available in this footprint.

"As consumers continue to seek thinner and lighter portable electronic devices with higher functionality, KEMET continues to address the component needs of these devices," said Jayson Young, Technical Product Line Manager. "The T528 exemplifies KEMET's focus on the development of smaller case sizes with ESR performance values traditionally found in much larger form factors."
The T528 Series footprint reduces overall impedance for high switch frequency decoupling applications such as microprocessor decoupling. The reduced impedance of the design allows circuit designers to lower total capacitor piece counts without compromising performance.
