Law Firm Elects Three New Partners, Promotes Three to Special Counsel
NEW YORK, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has elected Matthew J. Basile, Jeffrey J. Hunter and Carol W. Sherman to partner and promoted three attorneys to special counsel, effective July 1, 2018.

The new Kelley Drye partners serve clients within the following areas of focus:
Matt Basile, Real Estate
Matt represents clients in almost all areas of commercial real estate law, including mortgage, mezzanine and construction financing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint venture developments, and net lease transactions, including VA facility development deals. He is involved with transactions pertaining to commercial real estate assets, including office developments, retail properties, hotels, apartment complexes and distressed assets. He also has a strong background in technology and has been responsible for implementing several technology-driven solutions which will allow the group to collaborate with clients more seamlessly and to improve accuracy of information, consistency, speed, and confidence in the work product. Matt is a member of the New York, New Jersey and Florida State Bars.
Jeff Hunter, Government Relations and Public Policy
Jeff focuses on federal and state campaign finance, lobbying disclosure and ethics rule compliance. He advises on Political Action Committee (PAC) creation, operation and reporting, as well as responding to formal complaint and informal agency reviews at the federal and state levels. Jeff's practice has increasingly focused on Federal Election Commission, U.S. Department of Justice and state enforcement proceedings, as well as compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) of 1938. Jeff is a member of the District of Columbia, New York, and Virginia State Bars.
Carol Sherman, Corporate
Carol represents issuers in initial and secondary public offerings, public and private issuers in private placements of equity and debentures, as well as public companies, and investors in SEC, NYSE and NASDAQ compliance and corporate governance matters. She has extensive experience with SEC reporting and compliance, equity and debt offerings, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Carol is a member of the New York and Connecticut State Bars.
Amba M. Datta, Brooke M. Ringel and Sojin Yoon were promoted to special counsel.
