LONDON, Feb. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- KDC Ag will present at CleanEquity Monaco 2017 on March 9th & 10th at the Fairmont Monte Carlo.
CleanEquity is an annual invitation-only event hosted by Innovator Capital, the London based specialist investment bank. The conference provides an intimate and collegiate setting for inventors and entrepreneurs to share their stories with delegates - key decision makers looking to assist them with reaching their commercial and strategic goals.
Other partners and sponsors include Prince Albert II of Monaco's Foundation, Covington & Burling, Cisco EIR, Cision, Cranfield University, Hobbs & Towne, the Monaco Economic Board, Parkview and the Social Stock Exchange.
KDC Ag has been identified by an expert panel as one of the world's most innovative sustainable technology companies and has been selected to present to senior financial and strategic cleantech investors, policy makers, legislators, end users and media.
KDC Ag, the exclusive licensee of the California Safe Soil technology, is focused on expanding the revolutionary and patented fresh food waste conversion technology across the U.S. and the world. This technology, which mimics the human digestive process, focuses on utilizing the fresh food waste from supermarkets to the maximum benefit; to grow more sustainable produce and protein the very next day with greater efficiency and higher yields.
First, KDC Ag collect all of the fresh food waste each day from supermarkets, inclusive of meat, bones, fruits, vegetables and baked goods. They then put this 'balanced diet' into their technology and within three hours, are able to turn that food waste into a nutrient dense pathogen free liquid organic fertilizer and animal feed.
Currently, the technology is digesting 15 tons of food waste every three hours. The food is ground up (similar to your teeth) and then undergoes an aerobic enzymatic digestive process (similar to the enzymes found in your stomach) to quickly break all of the food down to the molecular level. The liquid result is then pasteurized and blended for consistency purposes so that the farmers receive a consistent pathogen free product every time. The KDC Ag facilities also emit no effluent, no odours and utilize 100% of the fresh food waste that is taken in.
This revolutionary three-hour process allows for farmers the very next day to put KDC Ag's liquid product through their drip lines to grow the next crops or to help grow chickens or pigs.
After 5+ years of research at UC Davis and across countless field trials, KDC Ag have many of the top farmers in the U.S. actively utilizing their product. The results have shown and farmers are seeing significant increases in crop yields, soil health and a subsequent result in their reduction in the need to utilize chemical fertilizer and water.
Additionally, due to the products capabilities to go through farmers' drip irrigation equipment, farmers are now utilizing the product not only during crop growth, but also as a compost replacement.
Overall KDC Ag and its team have developed over $3.5 billion of infrastructure over the past 30 years. Their partners and advisors include Howard W. Buffett, Chris Erickson and Alex Uruqhart, former CEO of GE Energy Financial Services amongst many others. KDC Ag's goal is to completely close the agriculture cycle; utilising the fresh food waste nutrients to their maximum benefit; putting them immediately back into the soil to increase microbial activity and soil health or into animals to grow healthier, more sustainable and profitable food.
