Kavinder Singh Named General Manager of Turner’s San Francisco and Oakland Operations
Turner Has Shaped the Skyline of the Bay Area for More than 40 Years
NEW YORK, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company, the nation's leading general builder, announced Kavinder Singh, Vice President, has been named General Manager of the firm's San Francisco and Oakland, Calif. operations. He will report to Michael O'Brien, Senior Vice President.
In his role, Singh will be responsible for the overall leadership of Turner's operations in the Bay Area that includes more than $800 million of construction activity for the firm's clients each year.
Singh joined Turner full-time in 1995 as an engineer on the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center project in Santa Clara, Calif. Since joining Turner, Singh has held numerous operations assignments working on projects in Northern California and served as Turner's business development manager for the East Bay. In 2005, he was named Operations Manager for the San Jose office, his most recent assignment.
Singh holds a graduate degree in building construction from the Rinker School of Construction at the University of Florida and a bachelor degree in architecture from Chandigarh in India.
Turner began working in the Oakland and San Francisco area in 1967 with the construction of the Ordway Building. Since then, Turner has constructed some of the most technological and world-renowned projects in the region. Turner has managed the construction of the San Francisco City Hall, Oakland City Hall, San Jose Technology Museum, the San Jose Civic Center, the Oakland Airport Terminal 1 Expansion and is currently constructing the San Francisco International Airport Terminal 2 and Boarding Area D renovation.
