LIHUE, Hawaii, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The beautiful Garden Island of Kauai will be showcased at three special events this week for Los Angeles area residents to enjoy featuring Hawaiian music, hula dancing, and prize giveaways, including free trips for two to Kauai.

Under the theme, Kauai R&R – Relax and Rejuvenate, the Kauai-inspired events will entertain guests with the falsetto singing and guitar artistry of Kauai's Nick Castillo and graceful hula of Noelani Kaui, Kauai's reigning Miss Island Mokihana. Guests can also enjoy delicious Kauai Coffee and Kauai Kookies, see Kauai Made products on display, and enter to win prize drawings, the highlight of which will be a free trip for two to Kauai that includes complimentary airfare, accommodations, and activities.
On Saturday, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau is transforming The Grove into an island paradise and showcasing the sights, sounds and tastes of Hawaii. Guests can immerse themselves in Hawaii's culture learning to dance hula with performances and lessons by the Polynesian Cultural Center, making their own flower lei, creating unique palm frond crafts, getting a temporary Hawaii-inspired tattoo, and sampling the flavors of the islands. Kids can listen to stories of the islands, as read by Kauai's Joanna Carolan, author of the new children's book, A President from Hawaii.
The Kauai events are being presented by the Kauai Visitors Bureau, with support from the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages, Aston Islander on the Beach, Castle Kiahuna Plantation & The Beach Bungalows, Princeville Ranch Adventures, Banana Patch Studio, Kauai Kookies, and Kauai Coffee.
