Katy Perry labels Dr. Patricia Bragg the "Queen of Health!"
2017 is 'The Year of Healthy Children!'
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Oct. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Two worldwide stars came together on the Bragg Organic Farm near Santa Barbara, Ca., this week and proclaimed this the beginning of a new consciousness among young people to reject obesity and embrace healthy lifestyles! Katy Perry visited the Farm and called Dr. Patricia Bragg, who has made the health of the world's young people a top priority for 2017, the "Queen of Health."
Dr. Bragg has been a global Health Crusader for more than 50 years and is the author of ten best-selling health books. She is the CEO of Bragg Live Food Products, which offers healthy, organic foods including Katy's favorite, Apple Cider Vinegar. Dr. Bragg, who bought Katy her first guitar when she was 13 years old, says it is critical that attention be focused on the health of the world's youth. She has called for 2017 to be considered worldwide as "The Year of Healthy Children."
"Our hope for a healthy future lies in our young people making smart choices about their diet and self-designing a lifestyle of exercise and positive thinking!" says Dr. Bragg. "Their health is our wealth. Katy totally agrees with me. We are so excited that 2017 is the year we make healthy lifestyles cool to young people."
Dr. Bragg's declaration of 2017 as the "The Year of Healthy Children" comes on the heels of reports from a variety of news sources that childhood obesity has become endemic. Fortune Magazine recently called it a "Worldwide Crisis" and the World Health Organization found, in a global study, that at least 41 million children under the age of five are now obese.
"We must turn this around," says Dr. Bragg. "There can be no greater cause than the health of children. I am encouraged by the support of worldwide figures like Katy Perry, who can help convince young people that healthy lifestyles really do 'Roar!'"
Recently, Dr. Bragg expressed her philosophies behind the Bragg Healthy Lifestyle in an interview with WholeFoods Magazine Assistant Editor, Sebastian Krawiec. You can watch Katy Perry and Dr. Bragg together, and Dr. Bragg's entire interview, at: https://youtu.be/D2NkMmGZCOE.
