Katy Dickson Joins News America Marketing As Chief Marketing Officer
NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- News America Marketing (NAM), the premier publisher of coupons in the U.S. and Canada, producing billions of coupons annually, todayannounced that Katy Dickson has been named Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Katy's appointment to the CMO role indicates News America Marketing's commitment to developing and implementing new branding strategies, particularly to support their expanding global and digital initiatives.
Katy is a seasoned marketing executive, who brings a wealth of marketing and CPG knowledge to the company. A driving factor behind General Mills' success for over two decades, Katy served as Vice President of Marketing for a number of General Mills brands. Katy has led three consecutive teams in receiving General Mills Champion's Award, which recognizes the team delivering the company's most significant results of the year.

Katy is a former member of the United States Air Force, serving as Captain of the Ground Base Laser System in Los Angeles. She currently serves as a Military Academy Attaché, as part of an All-Academy Selection Committee. Katy graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1988, receiving the Top Management Graduate Award, and went on to achieve her MBA in Marketing from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, also receiving the Top Graduate Award. During her career with General Mills, she worked on Big G Cereal, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Nature Valley, and Old El Paso brands. She is a triathlete and four-time Marathon runner who lives with her husband Tom and three children.
