Kathy Fieweger Joins MWW Group as Executive Vice President, Corporate Reputation
Fieweger Brings Wide Breadth of Corporate Communications, Transaction and Crisis Communications Experience with Previous Roles at Edelman, Financial Dynamics, United Airlines and Reuters
NEW YORK, March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of the five largest independent public relations firms worldwide, announced today that Kathy Fieweger has joined the firm as executive vice president, corporate reputation, based in the firm's Chicago office. Fieweger brings more than 20 years of experience in media, public relations and financial communications and becomes one of the senior leaders in MWW's national corporate practice.

Fieweger previously served as senior vice president at Edelman, where she specialized in crisis and issues management, advising clients on high-risk matters affecting the entire enterprise. Before her tenure at Edelman, Fieweger worked with Financial Dynamics, a division of FTI Consulting, on its special situations team. As vice president, Fieweger managed restructurings, complex transactions and crisis communications.
Prior to Financial Dynamics, Fieweger served as a director at United Airlines, working with senior management to develop and execute communication strategies to maintain airline viability, brand preservation and operational performance during the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. A former journalist at Reuters, Fieweger began her career as an aviation reporter, ultimately serving as the U.S. aero team leader.
Fieweger holds a Master in Business from the University of Chicago, a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and volunteers at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras.
