Dr. Ross obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in addition to her B.S. from Barry University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She did her internship, residency and fellowships both in gastroenterology and nutrition at UC Davis. She has also been on staff at UC Davis and Kaiser Permanente and moonlighted in the UC Davis ER prior to moving to southern California for private practice. She has continued with education, expanding into an integrative practice through A4M and other programs.
"Dr. Katie" assists her patients to see the inter-connections between not only the gastrointestinal tract and their skin but of the overall health of their entire body and mind. She has been an advocate for patients to learn how to get and stay healthy, not just treating symptoms and disease which often result from unhealthy living habits. She believes that most patients are very interested in improving their habits to achieve better health but find it difficult at first because of the stresses of modern life, including the myriads of information and misinformation available to the public today. Many people are doing what they believe is healthy, but they have become confused by diverse opinions in the media as well as heavy advertising, special interest groups, marketing and the internet.
