Kathleen C. Gaffney, CFA, Joins Eaton Vance as Vice President and Co-Director, Investment Grade Fixed Income
BOSTON, Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Management, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV), announced today that Kathleen C. Gaffney, CFA, is joining the firm as Vice President and Co-Director of Investment Grade Fixed Income. In that role, she will serve alongside Thomas H. Luster, CFA, as co-leader of the investment grade fixed income team and will report to Payson F. Swaffield, CFA, Chief Income Investment Officer. In her new position, Ms. Gaffney will be responsible for managing investment portfolios drawing upon the analytical resources of Eaton Vance's entire income investment organization. As of September 30, 2012, Eaton Vance managed approximately $81 billion in income portfolios invested in investment grade and high-yield corporate bonds, preferred stocks, U.S. government obligations, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, floating-rate bank loans, global sovereign credit and currency investments.

Ms. Gaffney joins Eaton Vance from Loomis, Sayles & Company, where she was a vice president and portfolio manager for the fixed income group. She has 28 years of investment experience as a portfolio manager and trader. In addition to serving as co-manager of Loomis Sayles Bond Fund, she also managed or co-managed a number of other mutual fund and institutional accounts, including core-plus, multi-sector and high yield mandates. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
