DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Katherine L. Myers is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Higher Education. Katherine is the Assistive Technology Specialist for the Office of Disability Services at Wright State University.
Located outside of downtown Dayton, Wright State University is home to over 17,000 students within eight colleges and three schools offering more than nearly 200 undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and professional degree programs. Wright State University is one of the top 5 university in providing services to students with physical disabilities in the country and the only university with an on-campus dog park for service dogs.
Working at the university for over twenty years, Katherine's areas of concentration include working with students and families affected by disabilities. In this capacity, she helps integrate technology into their work and specializes in career counseling, student affairs, leadership development and more.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys volunteering. She volunteers with the choir and Celebrate Recovery program at Patterson Park Church, maintains affiliations with the Association of Higher Education and Disabilities (AHEAD) and the Southwest Ohio Consortium for Higher Education (SOCHE).
A graduate of Wright State University, Katherine earned her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Severe Disabilities. She also has her Assistive Technology Professional certification through the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
