Kashgar, Xinjiang: Establishing a Business Channel for Cross-border Trade

Distinguished guests from 8 countries gathered in the ancient business town
The hundreds of attendees included ambassadors, commercial counselors from 14 regions of 8 different countries, including Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, representatives from both the Xinjiang Autonomous Region and Guangzhou Commerce Department, and executives from large enterprises that impact,foreign trade and the economic system around China gathered in Kashgar for a discussion on the development of cross-border trade.
Special air route for foreign trade
Pakistan Ranyan Airlines put forward a proposal at the forum to open a special air route from Kashgar to Islamabad in April for the purpose of supporting foreign trade in Kashgar and its position as a major starting point of the Middle Asia and South Asia trade channel.
Trade of goods from Guangzhou in the north and west and trade of goods from Xinjiang to the south and the east
To make a breakthrough in cross-border trade in the market, the local governments of Shufu County of Kashgar will establish Guangzhou as a transfer station of trade of goods from the north and west. Xinjiang will act as a transfer station for goods headed to the south and the east which will help create a sound foundation for the development of trade along the border.
