IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Luxury electric automaker Karma will participate in Monterey Car Week, the much-anticipated annual late August event that welcomes car aficionados and collectors of classic automobiles and legendary brands from around the world to the Monterey Peninsula. The Peninsula towns of Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove are known for picturesque white sand dunes, iconic Monterey Cypress, and an awesome 17-mile drive through prestigious Pebble Beach with unparalleled views of the Pacific, among many other draws.
"Karma is pleased to participate in Monterey Car Week and have the opportunity to meet with so many automotive enthusiasts and introduce them to our luxury electric car, Revero," said Jim Taylor, Karma Automotive Chief Revenue Officer. "We're looking forward to our time in this central California coast destination, which is a truly unique and ideal setting to enjoy many fine examples of automotive excellence. We're thrilled to showcase the Karma brand and ethos to those who have a passion for luxury automobiles."
Karma kicks off its Monterey Car Week activities at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, with the Fuel Run – Malibu to Monterey. Departing the oceanside town of Malibu that spans 27 miles of Pacific Coast Highway, senior executives from Karma will head up the coast from Malibu to Monterey in two Reveros. For eight hours, they'll be living California car culture, as they drive on some of America's most well-known roads and interesting locations. A total of 75 cars and 150 participants will be on the Fuel Run.
On Friday, August 24, Karma will participate in what's been called "the crown jewel in a whirlwind of events," The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. With a backdrop of the Santa Lucia Mountains and the venue a lush golf course, the exclusive and intimate event brings together discerning automotive devotees for superb cuisine and exceptional vintage sporting automobiles. Karma will display Revero in an exhibition area of The Quail, and product specialists will be available to discuss the car with guests. Making a special appearance from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Karma space will be Josh Altman, celebrity realtor and TV personality from Million Dollar Listing on Bravo!
The Monterey Peninsula's history includes a robust business in commercial whaling and sardines, immortalized in the works of author John Steinbeck, a native of nearby Salinas. And much of that history took place on Monterey's Cannery Row. Karma will help create new history for the Row when, also on Saturday, the automaker joins Exotics on Cannery Row. This public event that draws nearly 20,000 auto enthusiasts and collectors alike is a showcase for Super, Hyper and Exotic vehicles, and Karma will present three Reveros for Cannery Row visitors.
Throughout the week, Revero will make appearances at several locations across the Peninsula, including Downtown Carmel, the Inn at Spanish Bay, The Lodge at Pebble Beach and L'Auberge, Carmel, with Karma Brand Ambassadors available to answer questions.
