EAGAN, Minn., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Karl Florida has been named president of FindLaw, a leading provider of Web marketing solutions for small and mid-size law firms. The appointment includes oversight and management of FindLaw.com, the world's leading online legal Web site (http://www.findlaw.com) with more than 25 million visitors in 2009, according to comScore Inc., and U.K.-based solicitor referral service Contact Law. Florida succeeds Chris Kibarian, who was promoted to president, Business of Law, for Thomson Reuters, Legal.
In taking the helm at FindLaw, Florida's primary focus is delivering superior value to FindLaw.com users and to FindLaw's law firm customers.

Prior to assuming the role as FindLaw president, Florida was vice president of Strategy and Business Development for FindLaw. In addition, Florida has held several leadership roles within the Thomson Reuters organization, including vice president of Global Strategy for Thomson Legal & Regulatory.
Florida's industry experience includes various executive management positions at the Internet e-mail firm Return Path as well as product management roles at Netscape Communications. He also has experience managing software industry investments at the private equity firm General Atlantic Partners, and led strategic consulting projects at Mercer Management Consulting.
