Kareo Adds Two Senior Technology Executives to Lead an Expansion in Product Development
New CTO Kyle Ryan from Intuit and VP of Product Andrea Kowalski from athenahealth bring extensive experience building scalable cloud-based platforms and market-leading healthcare clinical and business management solutions

As Kareo's new CTO, Kyle Ryan will be responsible for developing the company's software platform and managing the reliability and security of its network infrastructure. Kyle joins Kareo with 18 years of technology experience in complex industries, including finance, gaming and taxes. He has managed large product and engineering teams to create robust and scalable platforms supporting millions of users. These platforms include TurboTax for Intuit and massively multi-player game titles for Sony. Before joining Kareo, Ryan worked with PwC, consulting on technology strategy and due diligence for private equity clients. Ryan holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
As Kareo's new VP of Product, Andrea Kowalski will be responsible for designing new products and enhancements and managing the company's roadmap and product launches. Andrea joins Kareo with over eight years of experience building clinical product lines, including athenaClinicals for medical specialties, re-designing a more streamlined user interface for the entire athenahealth platform, and moving the company into the hospital market. Prior to athenahealth, Kowalski spent seven years as a software developer and then development manager for Citigroup, creating software for electronic trading. Andrea holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.
