NEW YORK, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Karen M. Paterson is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Consulting. Karen is the Global Client Practice Lead (North America) with the Kantar Group, under the parent company of WPP.
"Kantar is home to some of the world's leading research, data and insights brands," the company's website states. "Individually, brands such as Kantar Millward Brown, Kantar TNS, Kantar Media, Kantar Worldpanel, Kantar Added Value and Kantar Futures are famous and highly respected experts in their fields. For the benefit of our clients, Kantar connects these specialists as well as providing access to the wider WPP group of companies and other partners."
Presently, Karen has over two decades of experience in her field, and has lived and worked in Europe and Asia as well as the United States. She has worked in her current position since December 2013, and has been employed by the Kantar Group since 2010. She specializes in brand consulting, consumer behavior, customer insight, global business management, integrated marketing, leadership, market research and social media.
Karen earned her Master's degree in Social Anthropology with a focus in International Relations in 1992, from the University of St. Andrews, located in Scotland. She then went on to complete her Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Kellogg School of Management in Leadership and Change Management at Northwestern University in 2006.
In order to further her professional development, and in recognition for her outstanding work as a consultant, Karen is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, which has recognized her as a member of the VIP Woman of the Year Circle in both 2015 and 2016.
"My professional mentors have been Mandy Pooler, Wayne Levings and Eric Salama from Kantar, but I've had many more throughout my professional career," Karen said.
Outside of work, Karen can be found trying to improve her cooking skills, walking dogs or reading. She also enjoys SoulCycling and boxing and is a fan of classic movies and documentaries. Her favorite vacation place is St. Lucia.
Karen dedicates this recognition to the loving memory of her father, Gordon T. Paterson. As a child, Karen would spend her summers working with her father -- an accomplished Sales Director -- visiting and spending time with his clients (the Scottish farming community). He taught her how to be great with clients, and to remember to walk in their shoes.
