Kamal R. Woods, MD, FAANS is recognized by Continental Who's Who

KETTERING, Ohio, July 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kamal R. Woods, MD, FAANS, is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Healthcare. Dr. Woods is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon. 

As of November 2016, Dr. Woods accepted the position of Medical Director of Neuroscience at Kettering Health Network— a network of 7 hospitals in the Greater Dayton-Cincinnati Area.

A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Dr. Woods pursued Neurosurgery training at Loma Linda.  He completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Complex Spine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. During that time, Dr. Woods was mentored by world-renowned faculty.

Dr. Woods has a singular interest in the patient experience.  His dream is to reimagine and redesign the delivery of care to patients, continually enhancing patient experience.

In practice for six years, Dr. Woods has become a leader in innovative spine care. 

He trains surgeons around the world on novel minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.  Dr. Woods is recognized as an expert in the oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) procedure and is actively involved in an international research study of OLIF.

Dr. Woods was previously the Director of the Spinal Center at Loma Linda University Medical Center- Murrieta (LLUMC-M).  He has received a number of awards for his commitment to excellence and for the high level of care he has rendered to thousands of patients. Dr. Woods was recently recognized as one of "America's Most Honored Professionals" in healthcare. He was also voted as a "Top 10" Neurosurgeon in his region.

Inducted into the Expert Distinguished Doctors Network, Dr. Woods is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and North American Spine Society (NASS).
